In this step you select where you want to install Mac OS 8.6. The Installer automatically selects the most appropriate destination disk. In most cases, this is the internal hard disk.

Choosing a destination disk
If you know you want to install Mac OS 8.6 on a different disk, choose the disk from the Destination Disk pop-up menu.
 
If you don’t have enough disk space
You see a message if you don’t have enough space available for a standard installation.  Depending on the options you select later, you may need significantly more space than is required for a standard installation.

If there isn’t enough disk space available, you need to remove files from the disk before installing the software. Be sure you have backup copies of any programs or documents you want to keep.
